Floresville

Now known as the Peanut Capital of Texas, this dynamic town has expanded rapidly in recent years.

Welcome to Floresville

A vibrant and thriving community outside of San Antonio.

Originally named Lodi, Floresville was founded in 1867 and renamed for Don Francisco Flores de Abrego, an early settler from the Canary Islands. Now known as the Peanut Capital of Texas, this dynamic town has expanded rapidly in recent years. Benefiting from its proximity to San Antonio and oil-rich Eagle Ford Shale, just to the south of Floresville, this thriving town boasts a healthy business climate and growing population.

Diverse and cultural, Floresville celebrates its heritage with festivals and a commitment to maintaining its historic downtown area. Residents are proud to reflect on the town’s peaceful beginnings, when Spanish vaqueros and priests lived, worked, and worshiped alongside the original Native American inhabitants.

From modest ranch homes and classic Texas-style new construction builds to sprawling empty lots ready for your custom-built dream house, Floresville offers the canvas on which to create your life’s masterpiece.
